I have an original Gucci belt purchased at the Gucci store 16 years ago. I’ve worn it so many times and LOVE it still. I know for sure it’s real.

irenelee22 @bookmart Most of the high end department stores have the larger sizes available and the smaller sizes you will need to order because they are sold out in the store. Fake stuff will fall apart. REAL quality items will last generations. Give them to your daughters. Check out my 16 year + belt in my closet wrapped around the fuchsia coat.

So, DETAILS are what truly tells-The logo FONT and Stitching are key & differences in the GG shapes are a giveaway. Just wanted to throw that out there for everyone!

When I received it the day before yesterday it was clearly a fake and when I messaged her she basically laughed at me and said that she bought same belt on Posh and tried to return it but the way the ad was written she couldn’t so that meant I couldn’t. She also said she wasn’t an “authorized dealer” so just because she said it was authentic didn’t mean anything

brokertiz @bookmart I gave up and went to luxury dupes. There are a lot of YT videos with women unboxing the latest haul. They get excited over the wrong things.. To them, it looks just like the authentic bag. I think it’s better to learn what the typical errors found on fakes are and do a check of them. When a YTer gets excited about nice straight stitching on her new Birkin, you know she didn’t do the homework. (authentic Birkins have a distinct angled hand stitch).

So as truly annoying as this is it’s still a business and they are going to get their money anyway even if it is by letting fake merchandise funneled through here

iamicequeen Exactly 💯! I can't afford to spend $300 or anything close to that to have a REAL GUCCI belt. I love the the look and if I can find a FAKE one for my budget I would happily purchase it. The FAKE GUCCI belts run upwards of $200 anyway. People don't run up to you and ask if your belt is REAL anyway- normally anyway lol.

jicoo I think that when buying this kind of thing, you should carefully distinguish between the real and the fake. I have come into contact with many fakes, but I can tell the difference. So I have not been scammed by the seller I hope all sellers will tell the truth when they sell this kind of product

pcooke I just purchased one on this site too and it was a fake, advertised as authentic. There are more fakes here than authentic belts. This is the second time it’s happened. Poshmark has been completely understanding but this needs to be controlled. The person I purchased one from a couple of weeks ago just went ghost after the purchase.
