This is a real butterfly wing from a blue morpho or a blue mountain swallowtail butterfly, encased in 925 Sterling silver. Perfect for adding a touch of sophistication to any outfit. Blue morpho butterfly wings are often sourced from butterflies that have lived out their natural lifespan, which are then collected through butterfly farms that support both conservation and local communities. The vibrant, iridescent blue color of the wings is not due to pigment but to structural coloration, where microscopic ridges on the wing scales reflect light.
