U have a problem with fragrances, do not buy from me!** Here is a vintage 1980s Gem Craft/Craft satin matte gold panel necklace. It has a layer of gold plate over silver (vermeil). That is what the “BB X MM” on the tag means. It features five 1” gold leopard print squares flanked by 2 smaller matching squares that have leopard spots of black enamel with golden citrine rhinestone. It has a toggle ring closure. The silver in this necklace is very soft, & bends easily, so it has been repaired in 2 places. In one place I made it so that it does not move as the rest of the necklace does. There is wear 2 the gold finish on the back. THIS WAS ONE OF MY FAVORITES, I WORE IT A LOT! Gem Craft jewelry began N 1945 when Gene Verrecchia founded his own jewelry company N Providence, RI. He had worked as Coro’s lead designer for more than 30 years. Along with producing his own line of jewelry he also designed jewelry for famous jewelry companies & designers such as Oscar de la Renta, Kenneth Jay Lane, Capri, R. Mandle, Tancer, Kramer, & Cadoro. Signed Gem Craft high quality jewelry of this brand is very rare! The necklace is 13” long. It is signed “BB X MM” & “Craft."
