Rare-Vtg 1987--Paul Cardew-South West Ceramics-Terrier Dog with Newspaper Teapot

This Rare vintage and retired teapot from 1987 features a charming terrier dog with a newspaper pattern, hand-painted on a glossy ceramic finish. Paul Cardew two created two styles-- this one with the newspaper in its mouth and another without. The teapot is about 10 inches high and 4 1/2 inches wide, with a diameter of about 4 1/2 inches and a depth of under 7 inches. This original South West Ceramics teapot is a must-have for collectors and tea enthusiasts alike. It is a medium-sized teapot and comes from the United Kingdom. The teapot is marked with a "J" initial on the bottom corner, which may be the initial for Tom Johnson's, Paul Cardew's Studio Manager. Paul Cardew, is the world's best-known designer and producer of novelty teapots, and created this teapot in 1987.
