This is a rare find. This double sided beaded Native American pouch was purchased in the 1980's at The Indian Art Center in Studio City CA. Each side has an intricate Navajo rug beaded with perfect details. One side has a gray rug pattern, the other a red rug pattern. It is probably intended to be a medicine pouch or for another purpose. The fringe is also masterfully beaded with matching beads to the rug patterns in red, gray, black and white beads. The pouch itself is deerskin and is tied with a deerskin that has beaded accents. The pouch itself measures 5 1/2 inched from top to bottom, 3 inches from side to side and the fringe is 3 inches long. The artist is unidentified but probably Navajo because of the details of the rugs. This pouch is a remarkable collectable to be treasured
