Beautiful hand painted porcelain statue of a man and woman. A very rare image combination. Most states have women alone or in groups but it is rare to have a loving couple together. The woman is playing a musical instrument while the man stands and admires her. Both are dressed in old emperial outfits. The details are beautiful and there is no damage to the statue anywhere. Statue has protective felting on the bottom and is marked. Marked Zhejiang Sanhan in Chinese characters. The Zhejiang province boasting some of the oldest pottery kilns.
