Rare, Vintage Black Micro Beaded Evening Bag, Hand Made in France This is an elegant black faceted metal micro beaded evening bag hand made in France and purchased in London in 1952. Because the beads are metal, a magnet sticks to this bag, and it is cool to the touch. It is also heavier than it looks, which gives it a nice feeling of being substantial. Purse weighs just over 1 pound. The inside is lined in black satin, has two side pockets, and is stamped in gold, “Made in France.” The handle is also made of the metal micro beads and is attached with gold colored rings. The top frame has a swirled pattern of beads on it and the purse is firmly sewn onto the frame. The top frame has a long hinge and clasp. The beads are all there and the purse is firmly attached to the frame. The top measures 6 1/2 “, bottom is 8”, and it’s 6 1/4” deep. Big enough for a phone and some makeup! The strap is 15”.
