Rare Vintage 1960s Original by Robert Large Fiery Red Cold-Enameled Rose Brooch

This meticulously sculptured cold-enamel brooch is fashioned in the form of a brightly colored red rose approaching peak bloom. The artfully curved petals are individually shaped and formed in a rich, vibrant red enamel with pink and yellow accents and are attached to a verdant green stem. It measures approximately 4-inches from top to bottom and 2 1/2-inches in width and fastens securely with a roll-over C-clasp and safety catch. It is stamped Original by Robert, attributing it to the famed jewelry designer Robert Levy. In the 1960-70s Original by Robert created whimsical enameled jewelry with natural designs including flowers, fruits, vegetables, frogs, lady bugs and the like. They were the rage in Hollywood and many stars collected and wore them on screen as well.
