This 1st edition is in good condition with original dust jacket. Features a portrait of William Jennings Bryan. The dust jacket is rather tatty but it has kept the book in good condition. Bryan was unable to give his closing speech due to the case being closed without final appeals to the jury. Scopes “monkey” trial. This book is a compilation of his notes and the closing argument written by him. It was to be corrected at the publisher but Mr Bryan death preceded the final revisions. His wife worked with the publisher and this book was released. Great addition to a collection of Christian, legal, or evolution books. Thanks for looking!
