A very exceptional condition rare Noritake porcelain teapot. It is in excellent condition for its age. The complete and clear Maruki symbol, backstamp on the bottom, shows that this teapot is circa 1908. The Red Spears breaking through obstacles and a circle for peaceful settlement of problems is the design stamp. Words are Noritake and made in Japan, above and below the circle. The beautiful multi pink shades of very large cabbage roses are featured on the face while a sweet light pink rose bud accents to lid and back of the teapot. There's gold accenting the knob floral on the lid edges of the lid and handle and base edges. Guilding is crisp and clean. I truly believe that previous owner only displayed this gorgeous teapot. It shows no wear. The porcelain is clean, crisp white. Just truly a gorgeous work of Art. Enjoy displaying this or using it. So old I could not find the pattern name. Non smoking pet free home.
