Rare Jay Strongwater Red and Gold Heart Brooch

Stunning hanging heart brooch with red enamel and gold plated accents. There is a lot going on in this piece! It features deep red enameled heart with a gorgeous green glass cabochon in the center. The center stone is surrounded by tiny grey rhinestones with a row of faux grey pearls further defining the heart. Holding the heart is a beautiful gold plated bow also embellished with tiny grey rhinestones. At the top is a bar with 7 larger grey rhinestones holding a draped chain. All the elements work beautifully in this 1990’s piece signed Jay S on the back. In 1990, he started using the name Jay Strongwater rather than Jay Feinberg. The company stopped making jewelry in 1999, so it’s easy to date this. This piece is in beautiful condition. No chips in the enamel, no missing rhinestones and all are sparkling. The plating is in excellent condition and even the back has minimal wear. Comes with its original black bag marked Jay Strongwater. Gorgeous!
