Gorgeous, right? This stunning necklace handcrafted of Galalith (the French form of Bakelite) by designer Guillemette L'Hoir of Paris. Although subtle, the color is of two varying shades of red, featuring an Art Deco geometric design. The brand signature is on the reverse. The closure is clever, and very secure, with a type of screw-in button. The length is 18", thus, more of a collar piece rather than a choker. It is in excellent condition without any discerning blemishes. I know nothing of the history other than it is an estate piece, likely rarely or never worn. A stunning, must-have piece of wearable art to add to any collection of fine vintage costume jewelry.
