Truly a Renaissance woman, Diantha Fielding did so much in the creative world during her career! Not only did this California designer create a lively illustrative approach to her artistic style , her designs for the stitcher won much international recognition through the years. She also enjoyed a career as animated film producer (including multiple awards at the International Film Festival), and this well rounded woman even co-authored an authoritative book on Felt Applique. This is Maize, one of her most famous designs which gives movement and the appearance of a ballet slipper in a simple rustic multi-color corn cob; worked on cotton homespun fabric in simple and effective stitches. 🧵 It is framed in a beautiful wooden frame with matching colors, blues and gold.
