Rare 1960s Jomaz White Crystal Rhinestones Silver Tone Ribbon Brooch Pin.
Jomaz rhodium plated (sliver tone) white rhinestone ribbon brooch; a 3-dimensional design with a circle of clear rhinestone baguettes radiating around a circle of tiny clear rhinestone around 1 large in the center. 4 clear rhinestone loops in graduated sizes swirl out around the center, layered over each other.
*No Apparent makers Marks (I see only one other posted online of this extract Brooch signed 'Jomaz' on the back).
Some Jomaz Jewelry Is Unmarked Per My Research. Unsigned Jomaz & Mazer pieces are often the result of the company's practice of producing jewelry for other brands or creating prototypes that were not mass-marketed.
JOMAZ HISTORY
Founded by Joseph Mazer in the 1920s, Mazer Brothers Jewelry became known for its high-quality costume jewelry, and after splitting from his brother in 1949 Joseph Mazer started his own costume jewelry brand & launched his 1st collection. The advertising refers to the company as Joseph Mazer Jewels of the Elite; however, the new company marked the jewelry JOMAZ. Jomaz was in business until 1980.
