This little vase will really grow on you, made with the regional clay of Blue Hill, Maine, by Rackliffe Pottery, c1969-2022. The glaze is lead-free. The blue color is less vivid in shade, but place it in light, and it reveals itself beautifully. Would be sweet on a sunny shelf with some pretty cut flowers. It has a natural blemish, pointed out in 2 photos. It feels like a bump when you run your finger over it. Otherwise, it's just perfect, and a nice collectable from the beautiful state of Maine!

From co. site, paraphrased to fit: Beautiful, durable pottery is our goal
Our pottery style is one of classic pottery made from native clay, shaped on a potter's wheel, gloriously colored with lead-free glazes, and fired to 2100 degrees.Hotter, longer firing is the secret to the durability of our earthenware pots. Traditionally, earthenware is rather fragile. This is due to its low firing temperature. We have higher standards. Our intensely hot firing, at 2100 degrees Fahrenheit, makes a tougher pot.
