Lovely and colorful, Vintage, Delicately Hand-Painted, RUSSIAN FAIRY TALE BLACK LACQUER Cameo Brooch Lot. Both Signed. * 2" x 1 3/4" oval composition lacquer brooch featuring a bejeweled princess or queen. * 2" in diameter round metal lacquer brooch featuring a maiden on a bench. Finely hand-painted female miniatures are created using vivid enamel colors, with Gold Leaf Gilded highlights. The distinctive heavy lacquer coating and C-clasps complete these unique jewelry pieces. Oval brooch signed on bottom left by artist. Round brooch signed on back with a Cyrillic maker's mark. NOT sold individually. Excellent Condition. No paint loss or cracks/chips. It is difficult to photograph Russian Lacquer Miniatures due to their high sheen and slightly domed shapes. Any gleam is only light catching on the highly polished lacquer surface.
