❤️ Hi posh family! I miss you all! ❤️ (my moms name is Kimberly if anyone would like to pray Ty) Some of you have probably wondered where I have been and why I haven’t done any live shows lately. My mom had a surgery last week that was supposed to IMPROVE her quality of life and it has done the opposite We were told it would be a fairly quick 3 hour surgery with minimal risks. The thoracic surgeon ran into complications, and hit a blood vessel he couldn’t locate the source resulting in her losing over 12 units of blood needing 2 MAJOR transfusions and chest compressions to bring her back.. they told me she most likely wasn’t going to make it. However, it has been over a month and she is still fighting, the surgeon and ICU team are in shock that she made it this far. She is on a ventilator and now has a tracheostomy as well, her kidneys failed and is on dialysis, liver is not doing well either, has a feeding tube, pneumonia, chest tubes, acute pancreatitis and this list goes on, a lot of ups and downs. I am the sole decision maker so I have been giving consents for all treatment/procedures etc but this also means I have to be the one to make the decision on when it’s time to talk comfort/palliative care. 😢 I stayed in the hospital with her the first week without leaving (3 hours from my house) but my son needs me too, so I went home after a week and now continue to visit once to twice per week. This has been extremely unexpected and physically/mentally draining for me. 💔
