knightmare251 I got a size 9.5 and 10 OBSIDIAN blue 12s. 1997 is the size 9.5 original 12s in brand new condition minus the age (22yrs old) exactly now, the jumpman cracked just the other day when I was taking them out of storage.

cholo704 @knightmare251 what is the difference between this shoe with the gold wing pattern all over it, and the other 12’s Wings that don’t have the gold wing pattern on the shoe? Like is there a specific name for this shoe right here? Cuz when u look up 12 Wings on Stock X or GOAT, they don’t have that pattern on them

cholo704 @m_o15 really?? I have a pair of brand new 12 Wings without the gold pattern on it. You’re saying if I wipe a lil acetone on them that pattern shows up? I never knew that. Crazy! I got another pair with the gold pattern all over it like the ones here. Which do u think is worth more? With or without? Or doesn’t matter?

knightmare251 @cholo704 aww man you didn't know that they change into this wing pattern? they come all black, but you can decide to rub the black off and change it into these here. that's why it's a collector's item and resale costs you more.

dthomas03 @cholo704 Acetone not only destroys the wear layer (upper side - i.e. grain side) of the leather, but also the tanning components and the fibre structure. The leather becomes brittle, cracks can occur and even holes. After treatment with acetone, the leather cannot be "saved" any more!
