Barely used. Insanely warm. The men's REI Co-op Stormhenge 850 Down Hybrid jacket combines goose down and recycled insulation in a HydroWall™ waterproof/breathable shell. The 850-fill-power goose down is highly compressible and provides abundant warmth for its light weight; it's also treated with nonfluorinated DWR to help it resist moisture. There's also 180 g recycled-fiber synthetic insulation (80 g in cuffs, hood and underarms) mapped to areas of high heat and high use because it insulates when wet and dries fast. The insulated, helmet-friendly hood is 3-way adjustable, and a sleeping-bag-style draft tube at the neck stops heat from escaping. Pit zips act as vents to dump core heat as needed, while hook-and-loop adjustable cuffs seal out the elements; synthetic insulation prevents wet-out at cuffs. The jacket has 2 zippered hipbelt-compatible hand pockets are lined with cozy, brushed tricot; 1 zippered chest pocket; 1 internal zippered pocket, 2 internal drop-in pockets.
