timby_m @karenann2720 if that's the case then why is it in silver !? previous rubies are always in gold or platinum. this may be a Ruby, but not the kind you are stating. also, for the price you are asking you ought to have clearer pictures, show the hallmarks and it wouldn't be a bad idea to have an appraisal come with the ring . I've been a jeweler for 25 years.. this is not a natural untreated Mozambique Ruby.

timby_m @karenann2720 That's helpful. But it doesn't state on the certificate that it's Mozambique Ruby, just African. It doesn't state it's untreated, or in fact any other grade. Fine rubies are never set in silver. Only gold or platinum. Lower grade Rubies are regularly set in silver. This is an attractive ring, but in no way lives up to the price you are asking. On Jewels of Valais...rings like this sell for under $ 100. Retail! Happy Poshing.
