Carolina Herrera Hand-Embroidered Embellished Silk Dress Size 6 (Fits True/ Open Fit) Measurements: ~34-36"Bust Open"Waist Open"H 40"L This delicate violet print was the foundation of Carolina Herrera's runway collection and variations were featured in Vogue twice. This dress is exactly as featured on the runway, and because of the overwhelming hand-embroidery was a limited production special order piece.This was ordered out of Stanley Korshak Dallas and worn once as part of a bridal suite. The dress features a heavily tailored yoke harness across the chest and under the shoulder blades, and the yoke is encrusted in real amethyst stones, amethyst cabochons, beadwork, hand-embroidery, tiny ribbons, origami-folded silk, you name it. It is a world-class couture-quality detail. The yoke is attached to the body with a cleavage-baring cutout in the front and peekaboo embroidery cutouts at the shoulder. The body of the dress is A-line made of layers of satin and floral chiffon. As you can see on the runway, it is fitted against the bodice and the dress floats around the body with every step. It's a very romantic, feminine piece with immaculate construction and detailing. No missing beads, no snags in the silk. It is a treasure.
