This is a very unique card, READ description. The product is an embossed antique Tuck's postcard featuring a Merry Christmas, Holly Berry and Wassail design. Wassail is a type of hot spiced beverage similar to a mulled cider. It was originally posted in 1907 in Lemon Grove, California with a one cent stamp. In 1965, it was reposted from Seattle, WA with a five cent stamp and also had two 1965 Christmas Seals stamps added to it. When it was posted for the second time a return address label was attached for Mr. John Kolehmain. Mr. Kolehmain was a resident of Seattle who was born in 1912 and passed away in 1982. Produced by Raphael Tuck & Sons, the postcard is a printed lithograph with a holiday theme typical of the early 1900s. Measuring at a standard size of 5.5 x 3.5 inches and originating from Germany, this collectible piece captures the essence of Christmas during the Divided Back era.
