RARE signed Willie Yazzie Navajo storyteller belt with sterling silver conchos

Navajo master Willie Yazzie is best known for having adapted the Hopi sterling silver overlay technique to Navajo imagery. He demonstrated Navajo silversmithing at Mesa Verde 1960 -1983. This unisex thin black leather belt is 56" long and 1/2 inch wide. There are 15 conchos with no image repeats, each is one inch long and half an inch wide. The final concho, the only one that does not slide, has an integral hook, but the belt can also be tied. I polished the silver up a bit with a silver cloth, but overall the belt has a nice patina and looks particularly nice over a shirt rather than through belt loops.
