RARE Vintage Navajo Mother-in-Law Bell Pendant/Charm, 925 Very rare Navajo Pendant/Charm, with Cultural Significance: Hard to find older Navajo mother in law bell pendant with turquoise & bell. Mother in law bells are a fun story...  traditionally worn so that you can avoid your mother in law, as it was taboo for a husband and his mother in law to be at the same place, at the same time. The small sound alerted the husband to turn a quick corner.  What a wonderful and unique gift for mother of the bride! Lovely hand stamped design with ringer in intact. Navajo handmade. From the top of the bail to the very bottom: .75” L x .5” W. Mother-In-Law bells are highly valued in Native American jewelry for its cultural and spiritual significance and they are hard to come by. Grab this while you can. Condition: this is a very old, rare, handmade piece (& likely old pawn). It has wear. Pls note we do not polish our VTG sterling silver as most collectors want the natural patina that is only acquired through time. There are visible scratches on the back of the bell. I don’t know if they can be buffed out but you should assume they cannot. This is a highly collectible, hard to find piece & is being sold as it.
