A beautiful and very rare vintage Gucci wallet from the 70’s in fantastic condition. It is a slim profile bifold, I’d call it unisex, whereas it may have been a man’s wallet back then. The clasp is a rare buckle with colored horseshoe. The gold tone has been lost for the most part due to age, but the rest is still in great shape. Two top corners appear to be wrapped in 925 sterling silver, both have stamp inside, however I have not had this tested to confirm. The leather is in fabulous shape, considering the age, but as with fine wine, leather does look better with age, and this one here has also been preserved to keep from wearing, tearing, etc. There are some edges inside that were re-glued at some point, and on the bottom a middle edge has a small flap that’s come unglued, but isn’t noticeable and does not affect function and appeal. The coin compartment partially has a clear plastic film inside for reinforcing, preserving the fabric.
