RARE Vintage Florentine Hollywood Regency Italian gold/gilt wood nesting tables

This is a beautiful set of vintage Florentine Hollywood Regency Italian gold gilt on wood nesting tables. These 1950s/60s hand-painted tables are have straight legs (unusual as most have curved legs). The apron of the tables feature a nailhead design. The tables are in good condition with imperfections consistent with their age. This set is quite RARE -- in my research, I haven't seen others with realistic depictions of 18th-century Venetian life and commerce. Two of the tables depict a print of the painting The Molo (a bustling Venetian waterfront promenade), and The Zecca (the Venetian mint). The Doge's Palace and St Mark's Campanile (landmarks of Venice) are visible in the distance. Artist Canaletto's paintings date to 1742. Canaletto was known for his detailed and accurate depictions of Venice -- a style called veduta. Chairish lists a similar set for $850. Serious inquiries only. Shipping available.
