RARE Vintage Diane Freis silk face and fruit dress maximalism statement designer

The most incredible vintage Diane Freis dress I have ever seen! Diane is one of my favorite maximalism designers.... she definitely does maximalism well. This beauty has the most amazing Ballon sleeves. I mean talk about making a statement! Then you add this fantastic novelty print of Carmen Miranda faces and cherries. And on top of it all, this beauty is 100% pure silk. This has to be one of the RAREST Diane dresses. I have sold vintage 20+ years and had well over 100 of her pieces but never have I ever seen this dress anywhere before. The fabulous Diane Freis may be best known for her easy to wear dresses... usually with a fitted but stretch waist, an easy flattering fit. This dress is easy to wear but casual it is not 😁 -- NOTE to get the sleeves to puff as I did in pics you will need to add something to hold the shape. I put tissue paper in them in pics. You could possibly starch them, but i would do more research before. -- era I believe is early 80s, has the black Hong Kong label -- condition is beautiful, I found nothing to note -- material is 100% pure silk -- I have this listed as a large but would work for medium, large and possibly xl. Follow measurements for best idea of fit ✨️ -- approx measurements -- -- pit to pit flat is 20 inches -- bust fits about 35 up to 39 inches, meant to be left loose -- drop waist is 32 up to 38 inches -- length under arm to hem 47.5 inches -- length shoulder to hem is 57 inches
