Borske Sklo Union was a renowned glassworks in Czechoslovakia, famous for its hand-blown and decorated glass items. The vases date back to the mid-century, circa 1950s–1970s. Our parents purchased them overseas in the 1960s.
The gold decoration features a large sunflower on the upper body and a series of horizontal gold-enameled bands around the bulbous lower section and rim.
They are considered collectible vintage decor items and are sought after by collectors of Bohemian glass and mid-century modern pieces. The sunflower design is a rare find.
