Up for sale is an authentic Paul Levy 1980s Herringbone-Chevron wool, silk, long mohair coat. This astonishingly beautiful coat has long line tent design. An interesting feature, this coat was made with a caped back. The cape is buttoned down in the back where a pleat start, lending the coat a flair.
It features incredible double buttons and high collar button. The arms are accented with buttoned sleeve straps.
This is one of my favorite coats. It is in excellent vintage condition! Paul Levy coats are a vintage wardrobe staple. They are a rare find. They are timeless.
The black & white pattern of this coat is perfect for Fall & Winter. The sophisticated look and asymmetrical tent flow bodyline is so very chic. The fabric is mohair, silk, and wool. It's a little heavier than a modern coat. It's heavy enough to brave even the coldest, windiest days. Extending to just above the ankles of an average height woman.
It carry the famous bygone era's fashionable tent coat capped back much like some 1950s Lilly Ann coats. Coats that gracefully fan out and sweep when you move. It's a style that can compliment any body type.
It's the perfect coat for any vintage lover's closet.
I detected two patterns in this beautiful coat. Herringbone and Chevron. They neatly blend together creating a work of art.
The dolman sleeves goes great with the buttoned high collar and modestly padded shoulders. One can easily visionize an espionage lady wearing this coat with a lady's black fedora.
