This vintage Mid-Century Modern hand-crafted Earl Gresh wooden clutch purse is a unique and stylish accessory that adds a touch of old-world charm to any outfit. this purse features a beautifully crafted wooden exterior with intricate detailing, making it a standout MCM piece. The compact design is perfect for evening events or special occasions, and it’s marked with "St. Pete, Florida," adding a local touch to its vintage ~1950s appeal. The inside is crafted from a light tan woven cotton material and has various pockets, as well as a stand-alone detached card holder.
11.5 W x 7.5" H x 2"D
**Please note that this is a pre-loved item so there are a few marks on the wood. This can easily be buffed out and restored if desired, but I think that it adds to the character of the item. It has two small marks inside on the fabric.**
Artist Bio: "St. Petersburg’s Earl Gresh had a varied background as a musician, builder and racer of speed boats, wood carver, sport fisher, and maker of fishing lures. He built Wood Parade, a combination workshop, wood museum, and shop where he sold his lures, tackle boxes, and other items of wood that he made. The Wood Parade was a St. Petersburg attraction until it closed in the late 1950s." via [Museum of Florida history website]
