Styled by Levi’s Vintage 50s Levi's 49er Style Plaid Wool Shirt Jacket. The jacket has great tones of red and grey with large iridescent buttons that are a signature of the 49er jacket. These jackets have a great history. In 1949, Pendleton recognized an opportunity to expand their wool offerings with a jacket designed specifically for women. They created what is known today as the 49er jackets, named for the initial release year. Pendleton had so much success with the jackets that many other brands, including Levi's, began replicating the style throughout the 50s.
