This Strasburg Dupioni Silk Dress is a TREASURE!! The dress has not been produced in decades, making it a VERY SPECIAL FIND! The Gorgeous Soft-Blue Hue has Silver undertones and is done in a 100% RAW Dupioni Silk, a special feature because Raw silk is considered expensive due to the nature of its production process. The texture and sheen are Gorgeous! An oversized Peter Pan-Point collar is hand-faggoted stitching (a high-end stitch found in heirloom clothing). The bodice has wonderful smocking from the chest to the waist, done in a lattice design. Bullion flowers and rosettes are hand embroidered in a matching Silver/Blue. Silk piping borders the top edge of smocking. Short puff sleeves are the perfect length and have a matching silk band hem. A matching tie-back sash makes for a perfect fit.
