RARE Star Trek #24: Killing Time by Della Van Hise 1985 Paperback

This is the rare recalled 1st edition that was removed from book stores because of the erotic overtones that were later removed. The book was then re-released without the erotic overtones. As you can see in the pictures, it's in good condition with a little wear on the edges. This book has the correct gold embossed raised lettering on the cover, and page 41 has the sentence "I understand that you were probably playing with dolls and wearing lipstick until you were twenty!" The picture shows what to look for to get the correct printing. It has to have the embossed (puffy) lettering, and page 41 has to have the aforementioned paragraph. As the years go by, these 40-year-old originals get fewer and fewer. The story/legend goes: This one didn't get reviewed and was sent to the publisher and made into a book. A fan bought one of them and saw the erotic overtones and sent a letter to Gene Roddenberry. He was not aware of it and had the book removed from the shelves and destroyed. Then, it was rewritten to remove the language. Very limited amount of these made it into the public's hands.
