RARE Martin Van Schaak Vintage 60s Over the Shoulder - One of a Kind!

This is a seriously exquisite vintage handbag. But then, one would expect no less from ‘50s-‘60s master handbag artisan Martin Van Schaak. His handbags were never sold in stores. He wouldn’t allow it, as he believed it cheapened his masterpieces. Instead, his handbags were created and sold via word of mouth amongst the movers and shakers. Jackie Kennedy was a longtime client. As was Sophia Loren and Audrey Hepburn. This Purse is exquisite in all forms with its gold and silver leather accent overlaying black velvet. The clutch is accented with a rhinestone accented abstract gold-tone closure. Interior is black satin lined with 2 compartments, one zippered pocket and one open pocket. The purse is in very good vintage condition and measures 9.5” x 6.25” x 2.25”. Removable gold chain strap has a 16” drop. There are slight markings on the leather - please see photos. BM-21-10 P – 817
