RARE! Incredible Original 1940s Vintage Green Fit And Flare Princess Coat

This RARE & stunning ORIGINAL coat was made in the 1940s from thick wool in a wonderful variegated green. It was cut in the classic fit and flare silhouette of the period with strong padded shoulders and a nippedi waist that has been accentuated with a beautiful back belt. Green buttons adorn either side of the back belt and five matching buttons fasten the coat at the front. The notched lapel collar adds beautiful structure to the coat and large pockets provide a practical design detail. Inside, the coat is lined in cream rayon. Bust: 36” Waist: 31” Hips: 41” Shoulders: 16” seam to seam Length: 41” plus 2” The coat is in good condition with only a very faint mark externally. However the lining is very worn with areas of fraying, splitting and repairs and would benefit from replacement or further reinforcement to stabilise. .
