RARE David Yurman Studio Sterling Silver Amethyst Cable Cuff + Ring Set

This incredibly rare sterling silver cuff and matching Size 5 ring set come from the private collection of a former jewelry studio associated with the David Yurman Renaissance Collection. Crafted entirely of solid sterling silver and set with natural amethyst cabochons, both pieces showcase Yurman’s iconic twisted cable motif. The hinged cuff design and domed cabochons echo the structure and style of the original Renaissance line, but this specific set is an unusual and possibly one-of-a-kind studio prototype. These pieces were gifted to me personally by Juan Merchan, owner of Sumer Gold in New York City, who was a contracted manufacturer for David Yurman in the 1980s and 1990s. The set has been verified by a professional jeweler to be solid sterling silver with all amethyst stones. There are no DY hallmarks, as these were not sold through retail channels—they were crafted in the manufacturer’s studio, likely as a sample or private design.
