Made in the 1970s, these Art Nouveau style lovely lady earrings have the prettiest copper metallic satin finish. The earrings were most likely artist made and are one of a kind. In my 50 years of collecting jewelry, Ive never seen another pair of earrings like these. They made have been made from an old Art Nouveau mold from the 1900-1920 era.
The earrings were made for pierced ears and the earrings are not copper; they are copper metallic anodized metal, complete with an antique patina look. The domed buttons on the ear posts are glistening copper metallic enamel. The young lady design is a vintage molded wax relief; a very uncommon type of craftsmanship. The earrings were artist made and not mass produced.
The round medallions are about the size of a US silver dollar or 1 1/2" or 38 mm wide. The earrings hang down 2 1/2" or 64 mm long overall. The earrings have never been worn and both are in pristine microscopically clean like new condition. There are no scratches, dings, or other imperfections. The earrings are not signed.
Comes gift wrapped and shipped in a new presentation jewelry box.
