*Condition: Near fine copy in the original boards. Slightest suggestion only of dust-dulling to the spine bands and panel edges. Remains particularly well-preserved overall; tight, bright, clean and strong.
*Elizabeth Marion Saunders (born 1916) graduated top in her class in 1933. After graduation, she worked for several years at the Spokesman-Review. By 1950, she had authored three books, including The Day Will Come (1939).
*Book autographed to Ida Lou Anderson (11/6/1900–9/ 16/1941 by Elizabeth Marion on 4/1/1939. Ida had polio as a child & was a pioneer in the field of radio broadcasting. In 1926, she became the college's youngest & one of its most popular professors from 1920 to 1930; she was also a broadcasting coach & radio station advisor. Edward Murrow was her prize pupil, the one she called her "masterpiece!" Anderson had suggested this opening phrase, "This is London" to Murrow, a phrase familiar to the world as Murrow broadcast on CBS during the Nazi blitzkrieg of London during early World War II.
