An exquisite decorative enamel Trinket Box. A perfect gift for any occasion.
This particular piece "Monument to Peter the Great" is a RARE find with only 60 made.
Inspired by a Snuff Box made of enamelled gold in Switzerland in 1780
A collection of the State Hermitage Museum
The lid sit tightly on the box but is detached.
The outside depicts the Monument to Peter the Great
The inside lid commemorates the Tercentenary of the founding in 1703 of the City of St Petersburg by Peter the Great
Inside the box edge is a the Hermitage Museum and writing on the bottom as to what inspired this trinket box.
The box is burgundy with gold tone trim and faux pearl embellishments
Measures approx 2 1/2" in diameter and 1 1/8" tall
