RALPH LAUREN Lavender Mauve Silk Blend Tiered Ruffle Skirt size S - M 27" waist

This is a Y2K Vintage Ralph Lauren side-zip skirt in a silk/cotton blend, featuring tiered ruffles, exquisite detailing, and a silk slip. The color is a cross btwn lavender and mauve (depending on lighting). I loved this skirt so much that I had it professionally altered when I lost weight, so I could keep wearing it. It's tagged size 10, but now the waist is 27", which makes it somewhere between a Small and Medium. Yes, it has that fun Y2K Maximalist look, but somehow the master craftsman hand of Ralph Lauren manages to make it true to his Timeless American Elegance. You can't go wrong with this skirt. Labeled size 10, but after professional alteration: Waist: 27" Length: 22" PRE-LOVED CONDITION. It shows some wear (see photos) but has lots of flare left in it. Note: FYI, I just hand washed this beautiful skirt — after posting the listing — and it looks great, fluffy and refreshed. (The tag suggests dry cleaning, but in my experience, a hand wash in cold with Woolite works just as well.) I’m not much of a sewer, but if the buyer would like me to make those couple (non-essential) darning stitches I pointed out in one of my photos, I’m happy to do it, upon request. I feel this skirt wants and deserves a new life with a new owner. ☺️
