Finally here - basic upkeep tips to boost your resale! I mean, let's be real, chances are if you don't have horses too, you PROBABLY don't have saddle soap (although some people have read I use it and hopped on the train!), but it's SOOO worth the money to buy some! I can tell you the best brands worth your buck if you ask :)

@alottadiamonds nice to incorporate you into your closet! I need to work on this when I get the time. I used to show miniatures as a child 😂 Horses are so much work. Don't miss it at all!

@mkerummage miniatures are wild ay?! I used to love emmy's pasturemate who was this rugged 36 year old one, but he always bit me and chased me! So
I got petrified. Same with the draft horses - bossy and huge scary hooves that is imagine could break a foot in no time. I was comfortable with a standard light horse size right in the middle LOL! I compete for open horse shows and some winter indoor ones but not many these days either

I own many miniature horses & the hubs has quarters & race horses soooo we def have saddle soap. But, ironically LV used to actually advise this product to be used to condition & protect the vachetta leather. I called them after buying my first LV in 2002 & they said buy saddle soap 😳 OR actually TAN the hyde naturally in the sun!!! When I asked my SA about it again a few years ago...

they said LV no longer advises ANY treatment to the raw leather. I was kinda miffed cuz I was a city gal in NYC then & I had to go find this stuff LOL BUT it did & does work wonders!! I also use Mink Oil Paste too on LV to keep conditioned & not drying out. Great post 👍🏼💋

Yaaassss!!! I've always used mink oil or saddle soap with a thick white sock turned inside out. It holds great on the hand that way while buffing. I have 7 miniature horses & 3 quarter horses but even before I had them I would use the saddle soap and mink oil. I do it the 1st day I buy any new LV as well as on the vintage trades I get in. Especially on the canvas too because it never cracks when I do that. 💖
