@cinderella927 Hi! Saw your post asking us if having problems since the update. Using our phones to share in our groups is MUCH harder to do and a real pain in the neck. When on my phone, I can no longer see all the comments in the thread (like here) but just the last comment or two... but if I click like I'm going to add a comment and THEN scroll up however far needed to see who is featured.. You can imagine the extra effort needed to tag everyone and share each featured closet.

if you are talking about sharing our own closet in bulk, looks like Poshmark took that feature away, back to the old days when we have to individually share the item.....
Also, the new lay out doesn't show the followers any longer, need to get into the posher page and find it from there .
I think it all sucks...but what do I know!😳

@cinderella927 I wish I didn't have to but my posh kept crashing over and over again so I had to upgrade. The new screen and update is purposely eliminating social sharing for parties and to followers. I googled AI. Posh is hoping to go international with a new platform that is not social. Pictures with white backgrounds, etc. Poshers who list frequently, do live shows etc get priority. Sharing will not help like it has before.

I don’t have a laptop or tablet of any sort, so I’m relying terribly on my phone as well. I can’t get past the smallness of the share icon in any sort of functional way, and it sounds like there’s no resolution for that coming. I haven’t been hit with any updates yet, but I’m unable to do much of anything and I’m making no sales.

Shared 11/4 …..Posh is getting away from sharing and posh parties. I am seeing parties that have no hosts recently 😤. Also sharing has become so challenging….another sign that they are pulling away from sharing.

@sapurses I emailed support and asked them if that was the direction they were going. Sharing helps keep your items up in the algorithmn. I don't know maybe this new CEO is having an effect. Other platforms don't have the social aspect like Posh so maybe that is what is causing the shift.

I’ve emailed them multiple times about it even asking if they can provide a version that is ADA accommodating since it doesn’t meet the criteria for those manual dexterity challenges. They keep saying they’re forwarding it on, but nothing ever comes with it. 🫠

@cinderella927 I agree with the PFF friendships and camaraderie on Posh over the years. I have moved some items that I was quoted decent pricing for to another platform. The Re*al R*al. They take a bigger percentage though but you consign and it is finished. The only thing I do not like is they will reduce an items price until it sells.

@cinderella927 I have also written to posh many times over all these new changes and received the standard emails back, if you continue to reply back to the email, eventually you will get in touch with a real person typing a personalized email to you. The one I sent them today said, that if they really cares about how the sellers writing in feel like they said they do, then changes would be made back, especially that tiny, blinding, fat finger share button. Ugh.

@janfast Did the buyer open a case? They will have to submit photos of the damaged item to Poahmark. Happened to me 1 time and Posh refunded the buyer and released the earnings to me.

@lisaosnow Have you tried on a laptop? Some people are reporting everything is normal when using their desktop or laptop. Not sure about Ipads. I have yet to receive a response from support. I have never waited this long for them to get back to me. Today is my 1st party since this all started and will let everyone know.if I see any differences.

We now have to share 1 by 1 like the old way😫 Should we still try to be sharing or is it not going to be effective to share anymore?

When I say official, I mean done by someone who works for Poshmark. I looked on the Poshmark page “frequently asked questions “and saw nothing about all these changes in there that that would help us.

Does Sharing and Following still matter?
Yes, but their roles are different.
Sharing counts as activity and refreshes your listings in the Just Shared sort in Search.
Sharing others’ listings is still a way to support the community, but it no longer impacts listing visibility in the Feed.
Following helps you stay connected with the community, but it doesn’t impact how shoppers discover your listings.

@cinderella927 Looks like it is happening already. If we are no longer getting more exposure thru share games …ie: the old feed, then really it is just thru promoting your closet for fees. A better way for POSH to make money ….not us because of the ridiculous click thru rate.

@sapurses For me sharing has always helped me out. However I have noticed lately that when I list something I received a ton of people sharing it so it still must show up in the feed. IDK I will do what the group wants, if people do not want to share I will close The RUNWAY. I still think sharing will help a little.

@amyburk0904 It will be interesting to see if Posh continues with the parties. Poshers must be getting tired of co-hosting because I have noticed some parties only have 1 or 2 co-hosts. I am co-hosting 4 this month! I don't know what to say about the bulk sharing. Keep emailing support. I encourage everyone to make sure the title of their listings are brand name first i.e. Michael Kors white crossbody. When people search you want your item to come up on top.

@vertigovault if you sell in Live shows, hosts may want to see the NWT first. I was trained that way in 2023, as a Live host. The small NWT icon within the listing is difficult to see when auctioning. When that’s the case, I change it just for the show. 🥰

I just want to express appreciation for this community and to @cinderella927. I’ve learned so much from this thread and you all - and while it took me a long time to discover Share Games it absolutely increased my sales. And offered a different kind of supportive community and mutual benefit than I had found previously. Side note: I’ve never been great at sharing my own closet, but focused on that when I realized it was the only missing element to making Ambassador. @princessleah5 I have used the promoted closet program for quite a while. I maybe get one sale a month that can be attributed to the program. Not great results at all but at least something. I am moving in March so my closet will close. Hopefully I can sell off my inventory by then. Too many changes …..when they started charging for clicks I saw the writing on the wall and these last changes reflect a totally different business model.

@sapurses I have used the promoted closet feature since the beginning of it. I was in the test group and had a few mtgs with the people from in charge of the program. I have been successful with spending $15 a week. You have to factor everything in with a business. I tried a few other sites and did not do well. Posh covers advertising, a website. I look at the big picture.

@cinderella927 I agree…I had a very successful brick and mortar business for years so I am certainly aware of benefits of Posh but we pay for that …either thru the 20% fee or the promoted closet fees. Everyone has an angle…..they would not be here if they did not make money. There is certainly less “space” required in taking away the sharing portion and I think the parties will be next. If it is not beneficial to their bottom line it is going away.

@sapurses Agree! Jenn and I are going to keep going on as usual. We both work very demanding full-time jobs during the day so if this starts to become too much and people lose interest, I will reevaluate. Fortunatley for me, I have worked for a fabulous group of attorneys for 20 years who understand that sometimes decisions are people based and not the bottom line.
Posh has always been my happy place when I need to debrief!

You go to shop, then scroll down to the party and click on it...then a blue button comes up that says share to party...when you click it, all your applicable items come up then filter them by available and voila! Shares! 🤣Sorry if this is old news...so many new changes I don't know what's going on 🙄

@enchantedshores When the posh party live starts go to posh parties and tap on the posh party live button then it will have the blue share button there and you can bulk share. At least it worked for me I’m on an Apple phone fyi

I am frustrated by all the changes lately...it seems Poshmark doesn't care about the community environment anymore. I always viewed sharing as a form of advertising of our closets. Being able to easily share to parties spread the advertising even more because people not in your sharing/ following group could see items from your closet.

Hello! I have seen some comments and have been experiencing the same regarding likes not showing up. Someone likes an item and when you go to send them an offer, it says person has no likes in your closet. What I have been doing is messaging the person with my offer price, explaining Posh is glitchy right now. There is always a way around an issue, just have to be creative!

@cinderella927 oh good! I had 6 likes yesterday and noted nothing there when I went to add to the bundle to offer! The last couple I added it manually and sent the offer, and I plan on going back to the others to do the same. Definitely not ideal, but a workaround until it is fixed. Have a great day!!!

I have not heard anything about the edit function. I would suggest emailing support about that. As I posted above, I contacted support about the likes not showing up and they responded they are aware of the glitch and are working on fixing it. The bulk share under tools was removed awhile ago.

If you share one of your own items, then run a search for it immediately, the sharing action in theory should push it to the top of the search results (under the promotional items) until the next item is shared to that product group, correct?

@aliokane Oh I am no expert on computers and algorithmns! Just makes sense when you share regardless of who it goes to it effects your closet. I don't think there is any specific place Posh addresses it. Every computer program has an algorithmn so maybe research it that way?

Hello PFFs, I have an urgent warning for you all! Someone liked an item I have earlier and the system automatically sent out an offer for 15% without my permission. I double checked and smart sell was off when they did it. They did it to me twice these past couple of weeks on another item too, where smart sell was also toggled off. I’m stunned they can do this to me, as I haven’t authorized any of them. Has it happened to anyone else? Ali 🤗🌸💕

@salmonmary Yes, they’ve done it to me three times now. Twice with one necklace and once with another. I thought I had smart sell turned on by accident but I didn’t. I since read on ai it’s a common glitch that is known about and has happened to others. They’ve not fixed it - I guess they like their 20% too much 😉

But they took 15% off the second necklace without my permission and I only wanted to let that one go for 10% off. They have no right to send offers if you’ve not opted in though 💖

On Friday 1/31 I attended the Zoom session offered by Posh and Google. Did anyone else? I find it very exciting that Posh and Google are working together! Some listing tips:
1. Plain backgrounds in your photos. Preferably white however a soft grey or beige will do.
2. NO EMOJIS in your titles!! When people search on Google or Posh, emojis are not recognized and may distort the search.
3. Start title with brand and what item is
i.e. Coach brown crossbody bag.

4. No NWT, SALE, HOST PICK or NEW in titles!
5. Remember many people are searching Posh on their phone. Long titles may not show up on their phones.
6. If you item has a price tag, sku number, make sure you take pictures and add to your listing.
7. Use the Google trends feature. It will tell you what consumers are looking for.

@cinderella927 When I did my Live shows, we spent the first 30 minutes on checking in, education, fashion mktg, etc. I have a lot of IT info for peak times to share, peak time for purchases, etc.
Emojis halt the search, so potential buyers don’t ever see your listing.

@princessleah5 I use Google Gemini (AI) to make my backgrounds white. It uses Nano Banana to modify pictures. I upload my picture and then type in “remove the background and make it solid white”. It does a good job about 80% of the time. You just need to check that it doesn’t change the item in the picture. I’ve had that happen a few times.

@snazzyoffice Absolutely. I have a bunch of data to share but I’ll have to pull it. Everything got filed away. Off the top of my head, peak times for listing/relisting, and sharing are still: 7-9A PST, followed by 11A-1P PST. Afternoon/P.M. is scattered. I’m sure others have feedback on this! My data is based on 2024 analytics. Reselling has boomed since then. I did these regularly since I did live share show selling. Peak sales/purchase data/times etc. I can also supply.

@snazzyoffice Also personally, I find new listings and relistings, are shared more from 6-8A PST, slightly earlier. I always look at EST because most research and analytics are based on EST. In general, Peak times are 11A, 1P, 3P. 7P for purchases. Saturday, Friday, Thursday, Sunday, Wednesday, Tuesday, Monday. My peaks are different.

@aliokane Agree with you on the recent changes, they’re aggravating & not doing us any favors. The share icon is tiny and a pain, whereas before it was more prominent. Sorry about what happened with smart sell feature. I don’t sign up for any of those programs like promoted closet or smart sell. I don’t trust them to get it right & posh always moves the goal posts. Free promotion today will be costly next week for sellers. They’ve leaned way too heavily into gimmicks & I’m not happy about it

Question. 61+ days re-listing. SO when I re-list my items - two in particular - I always end up with a duplicate. I wrote Poshmark about it and they said if I delete the duplicate(s) my account would be suspended. It seems to be a bot response, but I don’t know what to do other than delete the duplicate. @vertigovault I’m having the same issue with relist. Support wants me to document how many times each item is duplicated. and send each URL. It’s been ongoing since they changed the app back in October. I let them know every time so it’s documented. Then I delete the duplicates. However, I’ve also been told they may flag me anyway. 🤷♀️

@allnew2u2 Same! I wrote them once and the response was not to delete or get suspended. I just don’t know what to do about it until those items sell (two items so far and it has been ongoing - meaning each time I re-list the two items it does the same exact thing - maybe three or four times I have re-listed the same two items and the duplicate is still there - meaning 3-4 of one item). I’m sorry that this is happening to you too. Thank you for your response. I appreciate it! 💕

@vertigovault Only have this problem when I relist an item before 60 days-it just dupes & doesn’t “replace” which they encourage us to do, I think-doesn’t “replace” then I just delete the dupe and try not to do that very often ☺️

@myfurryfamily These two items in particular are actually in my over 90 days. So when I re-list them I end up with copies, but they all (original and copies) end up back in the past 90 days again. I did email them a few months ago explaining this and was told that I would get suspended for deleting (????). I assume it is a bot and not an actual person. So now I know that are at least three of us experiencing this issue. Thank you for responding! ☺️ 💕

@cinderella927 No, I thought that at first. I finally figured out the default filter for vacays and it is definitely different than vacay mode. From my feed, she updated her game through a price drop and saw PM canceled the offer. Now nothing shows up and my like game listing isn't there. I thought I should mention it here since I see other game leaders do the same sometimes and don't want anyone else going through the same thing if my suspicion is correct. 😬

@vertigovault Depends if you do it yourself or a bot. If you see a duplicate you can delete it, I have never encountered a problem. For example if it’s an item that was multiple sized and such, it’s tricky, but if it shows up as one, change it to multiple and click 0 available for each size. Then mark it for sale, list and it will appear as sold out.

@peggy1658 Thank goodness she's back! 😀 This isn't the 1st time someone has accidentally purchased a share group listing, and it is now much easier to make an accidental purchase with the new format. I've been trying to figure out how this new cancelation policy works. 3% of orders will result in a restriction/suspension? Since buyer initiated cancelations don't count, get PM involved immediately so this doesn't happen again or to anyone else. So glad to see PM supports the share groups 😊

Or buying something on one show and then the next show someone does. There are some other interesting comments on how those have been working, but again, I don't have 1st hand knowledge of anything re lives. Navigating thru the regular stuff is enough for me 😅 🤯

Hello PFFs, my friend just got caught in a ‘Poshmark Kiosk Shipping Scam’ — google it so you’ll know the signs. Her package never tracked but the seller refused to hand over the receipt from the USPS kiosk. And when they were both refunded their money the seller then relisted the bag for a higher price on another platform. So if it looks suspicious, it very likely is. One more note, the ‘don’t decline a lowball offer, instead just let it sit as an active offer to draw in other likers’ worked for me for the first time yesterday. I received a lowball offer and instead of declining I let it sit out there, and another liker bought the item for full asking price. So the process works, have a great day everyone 💖

Hi PFFs, annnd … it happened again, lol. I’ve declined lowball offers for years, trust me, but lately, letting them sit out there has really worked. I just got another lowball offer for a 1/3rd of my asking price. So I let it ride for 12 hours and by the next morning it had sold for full asking price! Guess who bought it? The one who sent the offer! So I’m just gonna keep letting lowballs ride out their time, there’s no harm in it, and lots to gain. I hope everyone is doing great! 🤗🩷

I’ve noticed when I post new items it triggers a lot of shares but I’m not sure if they aren’t bots, as someone else wrote on a completely unrelated thread that it was bots doing that when you list a new item 🌸

@cj_design I know it’s what we are supposed to do, but I try not to send out offers immediately after someone has liked an item. The reason being I don’t like it when it happens to me, it feels like pressure. Also, I’m not quite following your note on ‘people liking your item two or three times within a few hours’, maybe I’ve misunderstood? Or are they liking and unliking the same item repeatedly within a few hours? I think people are more likely to buy if they have created a bundle with it 🌸

But then I don’t sell the unique handmade jewelry you sell and it’s a much more emotional product. That’s great you’ve found a formula that works for you and that if you spot that pattern and send an offer it usually sells. You clearly have sharp intuition to spot that. Enjoy your day 🌸

@cinderella927 here’s my dilemma. Just had a customer request a return because the size was not as described. The listing on the jacket is 3xl and I listed it as 3xl. When he got the jacket it was tight and measured it claiming the pit to pit is not a 3xl. He never asked me for measurements. I could only trust the tag and it’s my fathers. what do I do? He’s never ordered from me so I don’t want to accept the return, but I want to be an honest seller.

@nikwebs I find it to be very helpful. I have been enrolled since the beginning. Other platforms do it as well, usually called boosting or bumping and you pay per items. Here I pay Posh $20/week and you get a cost breakdown so you can see if it working for you. So far I have financially benefited from it.

@nikwebs Posh will suggest a weekly budget based on your closet size. So you can go up or down on that figure. I think any activity in your closet effects the alogorithmn so even when you purchase that is drawing traffic to your closet.

Hello PFFs!! Another seller on Posh has reposhed a necklace I sold to them. There is no mention of it being reposhed and she used all my slides, plus is charging double what I sold to her for. I was notified by Posh that is how I found out. I wrote to support that I was not happy and that I hoped this was not the direction Posh was going in. Anyone able to use your photos etc. Was I being a mean girl?

Hello lovely PFFs, does anyone know if an account is suspended does it automatically cancel out any outstanding orders that haven’t shipped? I just had an order canceled by Poshmark and discovered the seller’s listings are now gone, and I wondered if they had their account suspended? A lot a people have reported suspensions on Reddit for canceled orders and deleting too many listings. It doesn’t make sense though because PM are reducing their own revenue.

I stopped for the most part when I saw on Reddit that buyers look up what something sold for, and also assume it’s been used since you bought it and therefore want it at a steeper discount. So you can’t recoup your $ that way if you’ve not used it since purchase. Some brands hold their value as a reposh tho

@cinderella927 I’m guessing it would cancel out any outstanding orders because an account can’t be suspended in parts - so some bits work and some bits don’t - I’m guessing everything is shut down under a suspension, including the ability to access shipping labels and order history

@vertigovault Let’s say they have liked an item before or sent you a message. If they directly bought and item, even with an offer, you still can’t bundle it to them. I had a buyer buy two items within a couple minutes from each other and I wanted to make him a special bundle so he doesn’t have to pay to shipping and I was not able to do that until he responded to my messages so I had to create a completely new listing for him.
