How do you guys feel about people reposting gifts? Does it show a lack of tact? I am all for reposhing items I have traded for but I notice people get it twisted and instead of relisting items they traded me they relist new gorg items I gifted them? I find it to be a bit desperate and tacky i mean can’t you gift it to someone or give it away instead of giving it a value? What do you guys think? Do some of you not give gifts for this reason? I love giving gifts but I’m not giving free inventory!

mortalshopdatI give gifts and write “I hope you love the gift but if not feel free to regift or sell” it’s a little like your gifting the value not specifically the item. I just feel this way because I don’t know exactly what they might like or dis like or need so they may as well get some use for it. I do try to think positive as much as possible and it puts a little less stress on me 😂

mortalshopdatOnce it is gifted I feel like it’s theirs to do what they like. Trash, wear, sell for 1-700$ it’s their business at that point because it was a gift no strings attached or stipulations. I hope this makes you feel better it is hard with all the awful people out there ☀️🌻

theopulentgoth@huntedbyangels thank you so much for your opinion it’s very eye opening... I recently traded with someone and I really added way more than the actual 5 items I filled the box I did this in good faith and I don’t regret it however I had someone contact me showing me posts were this same person is asking others for things for her children and giving out sizes and things of that nature

theopulentgoth@huntedbyangels and I guess I felt for her I figured maybe her life is / was hard I guess once I compared the posts of her asking for peoples charity I suppose I was taken a back when I see the things I sent as gifts up for sale but I think you are right I gave her what I gave her and in the end if she needs to sell it, it is what it is. And I don’t hold any anger about it people are different and do things fir their own reasons. Your perspective makes sense. Thank you.

mortalshopdat@theopulentgoth it’s really hard because honestly most people suck. But there are real gems out there we just have to know who we are and keep going forward. I got screwed over for the first time on here recently and it was really awful to go above and beyond for someone just to be taken advantage of but I should have been more careful. It’s not my job to teach them how to be decent and find the light inside themselves.

mortalshopdatIt’s my job to keep my head up and say you know what f* it! S* happens.. maybe it’s causing some chain reaction out there in some way for the better. Who knows! Though it is really hard not to lecture them and threaten them 😂 it would only really effect me it wouldn’t change them ☹️

theopulentgoth@huntedbyangels I think it holds true my gran used to say never give away or loan more than you can afford to lose.and I certainly didn’t do that... people are hard to read and I have always been a generous person and I will continue to be I don’t hold ill will but poshmark can be messy and I find the same people that try to pit people against one another are the same ones bieng fake nice to my face and telling me things behind the backs of those they claim to be friends aswell so

spidersfrommarzit's a gestures of appreciation imo. I usually add something out of my business inventory, handmade by me or my mom. Sometimes I get an acknowledgement. I don't get "gifts" very often. Imo also, its not something I note as part of the sale either. It's more personal gratitude. I also don't expect it tho. I bought a $26 dress and a huge box of gifts was sent. I legit teared up. I've spent a $100+ and had my items stuffed in an envelope with no wrapping lol people are different
