houseofhathor @smf6765 The crystal quartz that is coming through her back and tail is actually part of the stone. Clear quartz can form in igneous, metamorphic, and sedimentary rocks. I’m not sure which of these the clear quartz is formed from in this mermaid. I do know that it’s creative and beautiful. This is not a misnomer. I hope this answers your question.

houseofhathor @smf6765 I don’t know another name besides clear quartz and up close, it looks like clear quartz. The rock is just carved into a mermaid. I was amazed myself when I saw them at a gem show and purchased just a small few and wanted others to experience this gorgeousness. :)
