Purple Jasper Oval Cabochon Copper Electroformed Ring

These handmade rings were created through the process of electroforming. The polished purple imperial jasper cabochons are bezeled with a thick layer of copper. To prevent chipping and dulling, a clear protective coating was added to the stone. The rings are finished with a natural darkening patina. Jasper is formed from silica-rich sedimentary rocks that have been subjected to intense pressure and heat over time. The mineral impurities present in the stone determine the pattern of the Jasper.
