perfect gift idea!! these are real wood,handmade coasters,they come in any number you want,most ppp like sets of 6. the more you.and you can choose the color of the bark to match anything you have or want to add to. just message me w the color choice and I'll gladly let you know if it's possible and the price varies on level of difficulty. the sets shown are a natural set and a grey bark set they have 4 felt stoppers on the bottom to keep them from touching any surface. they are waterproof and sealed when finished. I can make them w colored veins in the bark or even multicolored. I can even change the color of the wood itself if thats what you want these are very flexible and a nice natural simple gift for almost anyone. johntanttari @kf22582 these are made from a wood called golden privet,it is the same wood (or limbs of the wood that was used to make the crown of thorns they shoved on Jesus head before his crucifixion. the Indians in this area also used the thorns that are on a golden privet tree to use on their spears as poison darts and they are mean too,I have this tree in my yard and I make these,cutting boards,ashtrays,checker boards,birdhouses,little trinket boxes that you can decorate yourself. everything is highly

johntanttari depending on how ppl want it colored I'll do it,im a retired master carpenter and master painter so I can make fake water appearances w paint make it look acid washed, leave it natural, do the edges any color or inside the grain ,outside,whatever you want.

I make cutting boards the same way too and make these really neat cutting boards ,ashtrays,and marble coasters and cutting boards too.i personally have a set that's the same wood just lighter and the edges are light grey and white on the inside of the bark.
