taicooke Good question. Normally, when I have purchased luxury items they send the appraisal in the mail a few weeks later for insurance purposes. But if you take it to an authorized dealer of Cartier ( most of the time a local jeweler they will do it) I'm not sure how much it costs to do it after it is already purchased. It's great to have for resale especially for Cartier. These items generally hold their value provided its in good condition.

tghossein @taicooke hi! Ok so i called the Cartier store next to where I live and they said they charge $1800 for the appraisal, hahaha. They are crazy. If this is how much it does cost to have it appraised, I'll keep the watch and enjoy it 😬. Am going tomorrow to an upscale jewelry store to see if they do provide appraisal certificates and will keep you posted. I got the watch overseas, at an authorized Cartier retailer. I'll get in touch tomorrow

taicooke @tghossein that's ridiculous! Lol! Yeah I'd keep it too. They should at least be able to authenticate it for free. Geesh! You might as well buy another watch if they are going to charge that. I just would want some proof of authenticity before purchasing it is all. Thanks for going through the trouble.

dawnnesbitt I have an expensive watch like this from Chopard. It originally cost $5000. It has a leather band and about every two years I need to replace it. They charge me $300 for two strips of red leather!! Rip-off!!

chato1023 @tghossein hi there… I just sold my Cartier here in Poshmark, they will authenticate it. When somebody buys your watch , Poshmark will send you a mailing label that the package will got Poshmark Headquarter. After authentication, they send the watch to the buyer and will release the money. Hope this helps.
