Pretty Chinoiserie 6 Piece Tea Set with lotus motif

I know very little about this old tea set as it was a gift. I used it for decorative purposes and, for me, its only purpose was to look pretty so I don't know if the finish is safe for use. As with any antique ceramic finish, please test for lead before considering using it to serve tea, cream, sugar or allowing children to play with it. The only identifying marking I see is "Made in Thailand" with a number on the bottom of the lidded bowls. The tiny teapot doesn't have a lid.
