Pretty Antique Black Hair Glazed Porcelain China Doll 23” with Button Up Boots

Adorable china doll featuring a porcelain head, arms, and rare and distinctive porcelain button up boots. Cloth body. 

Painted sweet facial features such as rosy cheeks, lips, and blue eyes, along with molded painted hair. Crazing throughout. No damage. No maker’s mark. Note an embossed collar on the bottom of porcelain neck. 

Often associated with the late 19th or early 20th century, sometimes referred to as "Turn of the century Folk Art Dolls". 

Typically dressed in period-appropriate clothing, appears to be handmade. 
She is from my personal collection. I have enjoyed her for years.
