Pre Columbian Jaina Maya Pottery Figure Standing Woman Arms Raised Headdress Lrg

This item came to me in a plastic box from a friend who gave it to me. I had to take it out of the box in order to pack it for moving. The box was in fact damaged so it was not something I thought I could preserve. One the back side of the box was a card hand written with the description of the figure and the owners signature. I believe it was sold to the friend who purchased it from Arte Primivito in New York. This is all of the knowledge that I have on this item. It doesnt make any noise when shaken. The hand written card reads as follows: Jaina Compeche Mexico C 600-900 AD Cream clay figure standing with hands raised. All over painted with white slip. Incised design on dress and large headdress. Precolumbian in origin and era as stated. Mildred F. Kaplan In researching her name is connected with this Arte Primivito as follows: Mildred F. Kaplan Collection of the Arte Primitivo Gallery in New York City, where they were exhibited and offered for sale at one time.
